ENTREVA Project

ENTREVA - State-of-art Survey of the Evaluation and Measurement Methods, Tools and Practices of Enterprise Education, Theoretical Analysis and Presentation of Results in www-database

The aim of the project was to conduct a survey of the existing methods, tools and measurement systems used in vocational enterprise education and training covering intrapreneurship, entrepreneurship, enterprising behaviour models, which concepts and terminology are being clarified and developed in the framework of Leonardo-reference material project ENTREDU by partly the same partnership, where the need for a similar process for evaluation has been detected; to gather the experiences, needs and problems as well as best practices in the field and analyse them according to relevant theoretical frameworks; to present conclusions of best practices and recommendations for further study and development; and to publish the results in a www-database.

The analysis of the survey results especially looked for methods and measurement systems used to evaluate the short- and long-term effects of entrepreneurship and enterprise education and training on the human, social and financial capital of the learners. This was done in order to enhance the understanding of the subject area and thus the development of curricula and training programmes as well as to justify the financial and intellectual input placed in producing the training programmes.

The need for this research and development was identified by the project partners in their training, research and development work and it has also been brought forward in many research papers presented under the heading of enterprise education.
